“The general directorate of the MSPP informs you of the official reopening of the Isaïe Jeanty Maternity Hospital this Monday, December 2... a bus will be available for employees wishing to attend,” read an MSPP notice circulated over the weekend. However, a participant in the ceremony clarified, “This is not yet a full reopening. For now, only the outpatient clinic will be operational. Hospitalizations and surgical interventions will have to wait.”

The reopening efforts were initiated by Drs. Larsen and Adrien in partnership with MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières) and ALIMA (Alliance for International Medical Action). On August 30, 2024, Dr. Georges Fils Brignol, then head of the MSPP, visited Isaïe Jeanty (Chancerelles) to "plan the resumption of care activities." The reopening had been scheduled for mid-November by the MSPP and its partners.
