The audit of the multisectoral emergency program for the appeasement and social reintegration of vulnerable groups, partially funded by the IMF to the tune of $105 million in January 2023 through the "food shock" window, is currently underway, Minister of Economy and Finance Alfred Métellus told Le Nouvelliste on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

“The audit of the program is ongoing. At the beginning of the year, the ministry received the first draft of the audit report from the Court. According to the principle of contradiction, this draft was sent to the various institutions involved in the disbursements for their responses. In the meantime, at the end of the 2023-2024 fiscal year, there were new disbursements. At present, we are in the process of finalizing reports on the latest disbursements for submission to the Court, and we are requesting that the audit coverage be extended until September 30, 2024. Furthermore, the ministry will ensure that comments from sectoral ministries are also sent to the Court as soon as possible,” explained the Minister of Economy and Finance.
