A war budget was announced at the end of 2024 by the government. During the Grands Rendez-vous Économiques program on January 1, 2025, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alfred Metellus, revealed the priority areas of the revised budget, which is still in the preparation phase. "The budget will focus on security, elections, and social services to address the humanitarian crisis in the country," said the Republic's chief financial officer.

For the revised budget, Alfred Metellus outlined key directives, including limiting the monetary deficit, restricting monetary financing, and increasing revenue. Regarding revenue growth, he emphasized that the goal is to collect more without raising taxes. To achieve this, he mentioned that his team is working hard to simplify tax compliance for taxpayers.
