"Every passing day is a day of fire and blood. Haiti is drowning while a significant part of the international community passively watches the situation without demonstrating the level of commitment that the severity of the crisis demands. We both know that we cannot shy away from our responsibility to be firmly determined. Given the situation in Haiti, U.S. leadership is essential, and there is no substitute," emphasized the Dominican president.
