For the third time, Haiti’s men’s U-17 national team has qualified for a World Cup final phase. This time, the team will travel to Qatar in November 2025. Unlike the 2007 and 2019 teams, there was little indication that Eddy César’s squad—given Haiti’s current turmoil and the near-total absence of a national league since the downfall of the previous Haitian Football Federation (FHF) administration led by Dr. Yves Jean-Bart—would achieve this historic feat.
Against all expectations, Eddy César assembled a squad that included: Goalkeepers: Cliford Gené, Rodnelson Dor, Ritchie Kerly Valcourt ; Defenders: Arthur Alcimé, Wasson Thermoncy, Dieuvens Kenson Rezil, Miguel Joseph (captain), Théo Lacombe, Micolaï Pierre ; Midfielders: Emerson Laissé, Franco Célestin, Medinel Zamor, Djouby Jean Philippe, Jorgenson Jean, Emerson Alexis, Nickel Beauvais, Bill Meranvil, Rolf Casillas Kensley Julien ; Forwards: Bens Neider Jr Eliscar, Macenat K. Prophète, Dabenz Jacquet
