A major event was held for the relocation of the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince to Delmas 75, in the Fragneau-Ville area. Presidential council members, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, members of his government, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and members of the legal profession paraded through the space as if it were a remarkable feat by the authorities to have left the city of Port-au-Prince in time under the threat of armed gangs.

It is yet another symbol of the State fleeing the capital. Having already left the Bicentenaire more than three years ago due to insecurity, and later forced to abandon Lalue for the same reasons, the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince has been moving from neighborhood to neighborhood before finally leaving the capital altogether, where its historic seat was destroyed by the January 12, 2010 earthquake. Thanks to the new location in Delmas, legal professionals will now be able to resume their work in Fragneau-Ville, far from the sound of automatic gunfire that echoes around Lalue.
