Three teachers from Lycée Rivière Hérard in the commune of Torbeck — Franckel Donna Jean, Michel-Ange Jean, and Max Frantz Sterlin — were honored by their former students on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. On this occasion, the teachers each received a plaque of honor and merit in recognition of their commitment to the Haitian education system over several decades. Gifts, including a 110 cc motorcycle, were also presented during the event.

The various testimonies from these former students showed that these teachers had been a true source of inspiration for them. For this reason, they took the opportunity to thank them during their lifetime.
