Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils Aimé stated that the government and the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) are continuing to strengthen the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FADH), and offered his condolences to the police officers and other members of the Canapé-Vert protection committee who were killed during violent clashes with armed gangs in Pacot on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

“We are continuing to strengthen the PNH, to procure all the equipment it needs to confront the gangs. We salute the courage of the police officers who risk their lives daily to protect and serve. I believe the country owes them an immense debt. The government and the CPT will continue to support the police,” said Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, speaking to Le Nouvelliste on Wednesday evening.
