Sterline Civil visited the dean of the Haitian press this Monday, May 5, 2025, as the institution celebrated its 127th anniversary on May 1. This visit, according to Ms. Civil, was intended to acknowledge Le Nouvelliste's work over the years. During the visit, Ms. Civil held discussions with the newspaper's director, Max Chauvet, and co-editor-in-chief and editorialist Valéry Daudier.

On the sidelines of the visit, Sterline Civil answered questions from the editorial team and shared several “irregularities” within the FNE, based on a detailed assessment she ordered upon her appointment to lead the institution. “When I arrived at the FNE, I asked for a diagnostic review to get an idea of how the institution was functioning,” revealed Sterline Civil during her visit to Le Nouvelliste.
