Jean-Robert Fleury, journalist at Le Nouvelliste and specialist in judicial affairs, was struck in the head by a stray bullet on Wednesday, July 16, while he was on the porch of his home in Méyotte, a neighborhood located in the commune of Pétion-Ville. The bullet hit the top of his skull. Quickly taken care of, he was transported to the hospital where he received the necessary medical treatment. An X-ray revealed that the bullet had penetrated his head, causing a serious injury. For now, Jean-Robert Fleury is doing better and is resting.

This is not an isolated case. In July 2022, another employee of Le Nouvelliste, Rodolphe Franckel, who worked at the newspaper’s printing press, was shot in front of the offices located on Rue du Centre.
