The building housing the Enriquez Charles National School, located in Vallières in the Northeast Department, is deteriorating at an alarming rate. A dilapidated roof, cracked walls, foundations weakened by erosion, and an unsanitary environment… The current conditions are not only unacceptable but pose a real danger to students and educational staff.

The commune of Vallières, where the school is located, suffers from a severe lack of modern educational infrastructure capable of meeting the minimum standards for safety and quality instruction. “It is high time the State took action,” said a concerned citizen interviewed on-site about the school’s critical condition. Other members of the community echoed the same concern.
