Gang members were killed and others injured during a police operation conducted in Kenscoff on Thursday, July 24, according to the commune’s executive agent, Massillon Jean, who spoke on Panel Magik on Friday, August 1, 2025. He noted that others, in order to save their lives, were forced to flee.

According to Jean, this offensive, described as “well-coordinated,” was the first of its kind in the commune. PNH units received logistical support from a helicopter for their deployment, as well as assistance from the task force and heavy machinery units. These technical reinforcements allowed the police to reach gang hideouts located in the mountains, which are otherwise difficult to access by vehicle.
