At a press conference on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, spokesperson Michel-Ange Louis Jeune, accompanied by the spokesperson for the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS), Kenyan police commissioner Jack Ombaka, reported on a “large-scale operation carried out jointly by specialized anti-gang units of the PNH, MSS police officers, and other authorities working in Haiti’s security chain,” which led to the recapture of the Teleco site from the criminals. Asked about the nature of these other agents in the security chain, Michel-Ange Louis Jeune simply replied that he did not have an exhaustive list of the forces that participated in the operations.
The successful PNH operation lasted several hours, involving exchanges of gunfire between security forces and the bandits. “Several bandits were neutralized,” said the PNH spokesperson, without giving numbers. He added that it was up to the local authorities, through the Kenscoff town hall, to specify the number of bodies collected after the operations.
