Founded in 1991, Ju Kann is one of the bands that helped carry compas direct to new heights and won the appreciation of its fans. Born from a gathering of childhood friends, Ju Kann set out with the goal of continuing together as the same team with which it began.

“I used to hang around the group since they were childhood friends. I played with the musicians at parties they hosted in clubs such as Florvil. After a performance with the group at a wedding, during which I played bass, my love for compas quickly grew,” explained Lesly Alphonse during his appearance on the program Panel Magik on Monday, August 25, 2025.
