A new Interim Municipal Commission now leads the Municipal Administration of Cap-Haïtien. This temporary structure, appointed to manage the city until the next elections are held, is presided over by Angeline (Angie) Bell, a well-known entrepreneur and cultural and environmental activist, particularly for her initiative PouBèlAyiti, an innovative project raising awareness of waste management through art. She will be assisted by Patrick Almonor, reinstated in his role, and Isaac Pierre-Louis, newly appointed. The installation ceremony was held under the chairmanship of the Departmental Delegate of the North, Me Marc M. Présumé, in the presence of representatives of judicial and administrative authorities, along with an audience drawn from various sectors of the city.

In her first official speech, Angeline Bell made an impression with a tone that was both firm and unifying. “We did not come to make promises, but to collaborate with all sectors and work toward real change for the city,” she declared.
