Despite the persistence of the multifaceted crisis in the country, the Central Bank has not yet decided to renew the moratorium that allows financial institutions to take measures in favor of clients facing difficulties due to the national situation, as was done in previous years. A well-known expert in the banking sector, Maxime D. Charles, in an interview with Magik 9 on Friday, October 3, expressed optimism about the renewal of the moratorium by the Central Bank, since the country’s situation has not improved. “Since nothing has changed, the crisis persists, I don’t see how they could refuse the moratorium request,” said Maxime D. Charles.

The former banker made another observation: he noted that the moratorium is usually authorized starting in October, which coincides with the back-to-school period. Mothers—or more broadly, parents—make enormous sacrifices to ensure their children do not miss the start of the school year.
