At the Turgeau hospital, two days of breast cancer awareness took place on Thursday, October 9, and Friday, October 10, 2025, at the initiative of the Cancer Clinic of the Saint-François de Sales Hospital (CCHSFS). The initiative is part of a series of events held in observance of Pink October, the annual global campaign to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention. The two-day program included workshops and testimonial sessions with cancer patients, as well as an information campaign focused on disease prevention.

On Friday, about fifteen women participated in the activity. Many of them were relatively young, while others were older. Some were cancer patients of various types, while others came to be screened. Facing this small audience, Natacha Gué Joseph — herself a breast cancer survivor — was accompanied by a small team of nurses, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals. Their mission: to raise awareness about appropriate behaviors when facing cancer and to encourage those affected to take part in spreading awareness and sharing information within their communities.
