In October 2025, despite a new Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), a renewed police leadership team, better-integrated Armed Forces of Haiti, a new Gang Suppression Force replacing the Multinational Security Support Mission, a private security company under contract — mercenaries, as they are called — and open support from the United States of America, the security situation has not really improved compared to October 2024.
