After more than two years of interruption, academic activities officially resumed on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the premises of Lycée Anténor Firmin, located on Avenue Charles Sumner.
Occupied since August 2023 by displaced persons fleeing gang violence in Carrefour-Feuilles, Lycée Anténor Firmin had been forced to suspend its academic activities on-site and temporarily relocate to the Université de la Renaissance d’Haïti in Turgeau. Operating under precarious conditions, the school functioned with a limited number of classrooms and in severe overcrowding. For the 2025–2026 academic year, the lycée has finally returned to its own building, after the displaced persons vacated the premises.
