November 7, 1995 — November 7, 2025. It has now been 30 years since the creation of the École de la Magistrature (EMA, Judicial Training School). A thanksgiving mass was celebrated this Friday in the school’s courtyard before an audience of distinguished guests. Created in the context of post-Duvalier institutional reconstruction, as a key pillar in strengthening the rule of law, the EMA drew the spotlight to itself.

The Minister of Justice and Public Security, and former EMA graduate, Me Patrick Pélissier, acknowledged that the creation of the school was tied to Haitian society’s break with dictatorship — an achievement of the 1987 Constitution.
