Two North Texas men have been indicted in connection with a plot to invade the island of La Gonâve, kill the men there, and enslave the women and children for sexual purposes, U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs announced, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Gavin Rivers Weisenburg, 21, of Allen, and Tanner Christopher Thomas, 20, of Argyle, were named in a two-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas, charging them with conspiracy to commit murder, maiming, or kidnapping in a foreign country, and with producing child pornography, the release stated.
