The U.S. Department of State said on Monday that it had imposed visa restrictions on a Haitian government official, accusing the individual of supporting gangs and other criminal organizations, as well as obstructing, according to Washington, the Haitian government’s efforts to combat “terrorist gangs,” according to a Reuters dispatch dated Tuesday, November 24, 2025.

“The State Department did not identify the person concerned in its statement and indicated that any visa held by this individual will be revoked,” Reuters reported.
