Tributes have been pouring in since the passing of the virtuoso of Haitian music, André Pasquet (better known as Dadou Pasquet), which occurred on November 23, 2025, after a long illness. Among these testimonies—some highlighting the talent, others the temperament of the musician—is that of Yves Joseph, known as Fanfan Tibòt. He crossed paths with Dadou Pasquet as a member of the legendary musical group Tabou Combo, where Dadou performed as guitarist from 1970 to 1975, before founding his own musical formation, Magnum Band, in 1976.

And when he thinks of Dadou Pasquet, Yves Joseph immediately recalls the pioneer behind Tabou Combo’s phenomenal international success. “If we had to mention a few of those who laid the foundations, the cornerstones of Tabou Combo on the international stage, Dadou Pasquet is one of them,” declares with pride the percussionist and singer of Tabou Combo. As a founding member of the band, he spoke on the Panel Magik show on Tuesday, November 25.
