Little by little, the dust is settling after the major turbulence within the Presidential Council this week. Although the Prime Minister and the government remain in office, the disagreement among CPT members over the dismissal of Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is not yet resolved. Fritz Alphonse Jean maintains his position that “the Prime Minister must be replaced,” while Laurent Saint-Cyr continues to insist that now is not the time for a change of government.
As a result, Fritz Alphonse Jean did not participate in the statutory meeting on Friday, November 28, with the Prime Minister. “We were five voting members and one observer of the CPT who took part in the meeting with Alix Didier Fils-Aimé. Fritz Alphonse Jean and Edgard Leblanc Fils did not participate in the meeting,” a CPT member told Le Nouvelliste.
