U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Honduras’ electoral authorities of “trying to change” the result of the presidential election, in which two right-wing candidates finished neck and neck, leaving a weakened left far behind.
Businessman Nasry Asfura, 67, who is favored by Donald Trump, is ahead of his right-wing rival, television host Salvador Nasralla, 72, by only 515 votes after the digital tally of 57% of the ballots, the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE) announced on X.
