On the eve of International Anti-Corruption Day, the director general of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), Me Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph, presented to the press, on Monday, December 8, 2025, the executive summaries of five new investigation reports implicating several high-ranking public officials. These files will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for judicial action.

Among the individuals named is former head of state Michel Martelly, for false asset declaration. The former director general of the National Education Fund (FNE), Jean Ronald Joseph, is, for his part, suspected of abuse of office, embezzlement of public property, and obstruction of justice.
