Sunrise Airways inaugurated, on Monday, December 15, 2025, a new direct flight connecting Cap-Haïtien to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A ceremony was held in the diplomatic lounge of Cap-Haïtien International Airport, in the presence of municipal authorities, airport officials, company executives, and members of the media, prior to the departure from Cap-Haïtien.

Sunrise Airways representative Marie Alice Carré emphasized the symbolic and practical significance of this new route. “Sunrise Airways is proud to welcome you today for the inaugural flight connecting Cap-Haïtien and Fort Lauderdale. This flight is a bridge that brings our communities closer together and opens the way to family reunions, exchanges, tourism, and economic development,” she stated.
