The police reported that six bandits were killed, 18 twelve-gauge shotguns, three AR-15 assault rifles, one .22-caliber rifle, eight pistols, a considerable quantity of ammunition of calibers 5.56, 12, 7.62, .38 and 9 mm, five drones, as well as police uniforms were seized during a police operation in Tokyo, Delmas 2, on Monday, January 19, 2026.

“The Police Communications Directorate (DICOP) informs the public that a large-scale police operation was carried out in Delmas 2, specifically in the Tokyo area, by specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH). During this intervention, six armed bandits were fatally wounded, while several others were hit. Several vehicles used by the assailants were also destroyed during exchanges with law enforcement,” the PNH statement reads.
