The Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), Vladimir Paraison, presented a decidedly proactive picture of police action during a press briefing held this Tuesday in the conference room of the General Directorate in Clercine, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. On this occasion, the commander-in-chief of the police institution stated that the PNH is now in a position to track down any criminal who undermines the proper functioning of society. “Today, the Haitian National Police is capable of tracking down anyone, wherever they may be on the national territory,” he asserted.

“If you notice that we have not yet reached certain areas, it is simply because we are in the process of finalizing operations in other hotspots,” said Vladimir Paraison, suggesting that police interventions are carried out according to a progressive and strategic approach. According to him, the objective is to avoid dispersing forces and to sustainably consolidate areas that have already been secured.
