The National Education Fund (FNE) has announced the launch of a structural reform aimed at strengthening the institution’s transparency, governance, and financial sustainability. This new direction was presented by the Director General of the FNE, Élysée Collagène, during the 33rd edition of Les Mardis de la Nation, held at the Primature on January 20, 2026.

Aligned with the government’s education policy, the reform seeks to reposition the FNE as a central and credible actor in financing Haiti’s education system, according to the institution’s director general. “The objective is to profoundly transform the FNE so as to make it an effective, transparent, and financially viable institution, capable of fully playing its role in financing the Haitian education system. The reform undertaken responds to an imperative of rigor, good governance, and accountability,” Élysée Collagène stated.
