Haiti’s credibility rating—already at its lowest level in decades—continues to sink into the abyss. Presidential advisers, clinging to power, are putting on a spectacle like old clowns from a crumbling circus.
Surrounded by a handful of loyalists and operating outside the amended 1987 Constitution and the April 3, 2024 agreement, these presidential advisers have sponsored a resolution aimed at establishing a dual executive. The presidency, to be collegial, would include three members: one from the CPT, and the other two from the Court of Cassation or civil society. A Prime Minister is also предусмотр.
