The Haitian State still intends to allocate millions of dollars to participate in financing the Gang Suppression Force (GSF), whose first contingents are expected in Haiti on April 1, 2026, Le Nouvelliste has learned.
“We still want to do it. For now, we are purchasing land where buildings will be constructed to house the members of this force. It is the Haitian State that will buy the land to make it available to BANUH. We will build permanent structures that can remain available to the Haitian State after the departure of the GFS,” Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé told Le Nouvelliste.
