The United States Embassy in Port-au-Prince indicated on February 24, 2026, that Vitel’homme Innocent, leader of the Kraze Baryè gang, is still actively sought by U.S. authorities. In a post on social media, the U.S. Embassy stated that the criminal remains on the FBI’s Most Wanted list and continues to be an actively pursued fugitive. “An FBI investigation is ongoing regarding the crimes he is accused of, including kidnapping and murder. A reward of 2 million dollars is still being offered for any information leading to his arrest and/or conviction,” reads the post accompanying his photograph.
Internet users had recently noticed that this gang leader had been removed from the FBI’s Most Wanted list. In a statement explaining the removal, the FBI had indicated that, although Innocent “remains at large, he no longer meets the criteria established for continued placement on the list.” One of these criteria is the need for increased publicity to help locate and capture the fugitive.
