Serving as acting Prime Minister in the absence of the head of government, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Patrick Pélissier, proceeded with the installation of the new Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Colin, in his new duties. Mr. Pélissier took the opportunity to outline the responsibilities of the Republic’s new chief financial officer.

“We have a duty to do more with limited resources; that is to say, we have an obligation to be efficient. This requirement calls for rigorous financial governance, budgetary discipline, and the constant optimization of the allocation of limited resources,” stated the Minister of Justice and Public Security.
