Freshly sworn into office, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Colin, installed the new Director General of the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) this Wednesday, February 25. He introduced the new Director General as a career civil servant who rose through the ranks within the tax administration, demonstrating rigor, commitment, and professionalism.
“This new Director General, the Deputy Director General, and their collaborators at the DGI are called upon to drive a return to fiscal performance and to break with the cycle of revenue mobilization falling short of set targets, as has too often been the case in recent years,” stated the nation’s new chief financial officer.
