In a small, crowded room, Lovely François was installed on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, as the new Director General of the National Old-Age Insurance Office (ONA). The ceremony, held at the institution’s headquarters, brought together several high-profile figures, including ONA executives, representatives from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Board of Social Security Bodies (CAOSS), as well as members of the government.

Lovely François succeeds Ronald Bazile, who had been in office since February 18, 2025. His noticeable absence from the ceremony was offset by the reading of his speech by the Director of Communications and Public Relations, Harry Johny Juste. Among the officials present were Chief of Staff Guichard Doré, Minister of Planning and External Cooperation Sandra Paulémon, in her capacity as acting Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and Minister of Public Health and Population Sinal Bertrand.
