Since qualifying for the FIFA World Cup on November 18, 2025, after a 2–0 victory over Nicaragua, Haiti had not played any matches. However, the technical staff, along with the Haitian football authorities, have been working behind the scenes to strengthen, solidify, and enhance the national team—hence the arrival of Wilson Isidor, the Sunderland striker.

Against the Tunisian national team, the Grenadiers conceded the only goal of the match in the 7th minute following a loss of possession in midfield and poor alignment of Haiti’s central defense. Played through on goal, Sebastian Tounekti, left unmarked, simply adjusted his shot past Alexandre Pierre, Haiti’s last line of defense, to score his first goal for Tunisia.
