I find it hard to accept that you, Yonel Louis—a big brother and a good friend—have taken that final journey so soon. In truth, our collaboration at Ticket Magazine and Le Nouvelliste began in June 2007 during the Gold Cup in Florida, USA, and continued in August 2008 in Carson, California, for the final phase of the Olympic Games with Haiti’s U23 team.

Since then, together with our beloved Enock Néré, we covered many sporting events, including the Copa America Centenario 2016 and the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France in 2018. The man who had dedicated his entire life to defending, immortalizing, and enhancing Haiti’s sporting landscape (football, basketball, volleyball, judo, karate, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, etc.) never hesitated to invest his own financial resources to equip himself with the most sophisticated gear in order to provide quality and loyal service to the public and his fans.
