Dr. Réginald Boulos left the United States on April 7, 2026, bound for Colombia, five days after reaching an agreement with the U.S. government (stipulated departure), validated by the judge handling the case, following nine months of detention in a U.S. immigration detention center in Florida, Le Nouvelliste learned from a source close to the family on Friday, April 10, 2026.
“In this agreement, this stipulated departure, the U.S. government maintains the three charges that Dr. Boulos contests and does not admit. The agreement stipulates that Dr. Boulos will not be able to return to the United States for five years and that the government has no obligation to issue him a visa,” the source continued.
