The clashes opposing rival gangs in the Cul-de-Sac plain stem from a struggle for control of the area’s economic resources, according to Pastor Hénock Joseph.

Speaking on the program Panel Magik this Wednesday, April 22, the religious leader highlighted the strategic importance of areas such as Terre Noire, Sarthe, and Pyè 6, which have become major stakes for armed groups. He notably pointed out that Pyè 6 attracts many residents fleeing insecurity in downtown Cité Soleil, while Sarthe hosts several large companies, including E-Power, La Couronne, MSC, and Séjournée.
