Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé spoke on April 23, 2026, before the United Nations Security Council. After his series of high-level meetings in Washington, this speech represents the culmination of his tour. This trip allowed him to meet all the key actors involved in the Haiti dossier.
This month of April 2026 will remain as that of the general policy statement of the head of government. He, who has neither a parliament nor a council to oversee him, has just made commitments before his partners. Last February, the entire international community had pushed for him to become the sole leader at the helm in Haiti; today, international partners are in a position to assess Fils-Aimé’s actions in light of the program he has just presented to them.
