It is difficult to find words to capture all the consequences of the multifaceted crisis that is bringing the country to its knees. Alongside the visible consequences of the crisis—such as road blockades, the hostage-taking of neighborhoods or even entire communes by gangs, looting, kidnappings, and rapes—other symptoms are being felt on a daily basis. According to available information, the MSPP has already confirmed 90 new cases at the start of 2026.
