In order to prevent the return of criminal groups to areas recently retaken by the Police nationale d’Haïti, 200 soldiers from the Forces armées d’Haïti (FAd’H) have been deployed to reinforce the presence of law enforcement in these neighborhoods.

According to a source at the Ministry of Defense, additional soldiers are expected to be mobilized on the ground alongside the national police. The FAd’H are also awaiting the delivery of already ordered equipment, with the aim of increasing their effectiveness in the fight against armed groups.
