The 28th edition of the Haitian Compas Festival will be held this year at NoMI Village, in North Miami, at the heart of the Haitian community established in the city. Usually organized in downtown Miami, the festival was relocated in order to reassure the public amid concerns related to operations conducted by agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to Rodrigue Alcindor, one of the event’s organizers.
For this edition, the organizers are offering a packed lineup featuring the groups Klass, Kaï, Vayb, T-Vice, Disip, Koudjay, Vakam and Volum. Anie Alerte and her band are also scheduled to perform, alongside DJs AndyBeatz, Colmix, LC, Nicky Mixx, Bullet, Heavy, Lens and Super Duke.
