Haiti's performance at the 2026 World Cup has left many questioning Sébastien Migné's ability to guide the national team forward. Some seasoned observers believe it would be wise to part ways with the French coach, while others argue the opposite. Should he leave, or should he remain at the helm of the Grenadiers?
Appointed head coach of the Haitian national football team on March 8, 2024, by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), Sébastien Migné managed his first match on March 23 against French Guiana, which ended in a 1-1 draw, with Duckens Nazon, who captained the team that day, scoring Haiti's goal. Since then, the French coach—whose mission was to: (1) return Haiti to Nations League A; (2) qualify Haiti for the 2025 Gold Cup; and (3) secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup—has overseen numerous friendly and competitive matches with the national team.
