In a press release issued on June 29, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), through its Integrated Business Development Program, launched a call for expressions of interest for the selection of micro-industrial park projects. Applications must be submitted no later than July 14, 2026.

In the statement, the MCI explained that the initiative aims to "support local and regional institutions and organizations carrying high-potential industrial projects through technical and financial assistance." The selected projects will be developed under a partnership between the State and the private sector, with the micro-industrial parks being privately managed while the State serves as a facilitator.
