Held from June 29 to July 2, 2026, the examinations covered 9th-grade students, candidates from the Family Education Centers (CEF), and students from the Teacher Training Schools and Early Childhood Educator Training Schools (ENIJE). A total of 189,849 candidates were expected to sit for the exams. The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) said it was generally satisfied with the way the examinations were conducted across the various testing centers.

During a visit on Thursday, July 2, to the examination center at Saint-Louis de Gonzague, MENFP Director General Osny Jean-Marie expressed satisfaction with the organization of the exams across the country's various Departmental Education Directorates (DDEs). "Between 94% and 97% of the registered candidates took part in the examinations," he said during a press briefing presenting the preliminary assessment of this first round of exams.
