"It is with great emotion, but also immense pride, that I announce today (Wednesday, July 15, 2026) the end of my mission as head coach of Haiti's national team," he wrote in the opening line of his statement before recalling the pride he felt when taking charge of the national team in March 2024.

"Since 2024, I have had the honor and privilege of leading this team, sharing its daily life, its efforts, and its ambitions. Together, we experienced an extraordinary journey, crowned by a historic qualification for the World Cup... An achievement that will remain forever etched in the history of Haitian football, and one that I am immensely proud to have been part of," said Sébastien Migné, who was full of praise for the national team.
