The Provisional Electoral Council has submitted a proposed electoral calendar to the government. The key element that had been missing from the electoral process is now on the table. According to the proposal, the first round of the presidential and legislative elections is scheduled for December 13, 2026, the second round for February 21, 2027, while the results of both rounds will be published on March 7, 2027.

At the same time, the CEP has already launched the voter registration process while proceeding with the registration of political party coalitions. In addition, the CEP and the government have reached an agreement on the electoral budget. The electoral decree has been published in the official gazette, Le Moniteur.
