Three days after the deadly attack carried out by armed gangs against the population of Kenscoff, the Haitian National Police (PNH) met with the press on Thursday, August 26, 2026, to provide an update on several issues, including the situation in the municipality. But after about 20 minutes of press conference, journalists left without any real answers to the main questions raised.

No major announcement was made. Commissioner Garry Desrosiers, spokesperson for the PNH, sidestepped several key questions from journalists, citing in particular the requirements related to the institution’s operational strategies, which, according to him, cannot be disclosed to the general public.
